Default AK hand

I raise with AK UTG in Pink Chip game at Trop.

the flop comes 9c 4s 3d.

I check my opponnent checks.

Turn 6s.

I check my opponnents says. "well I'm not going to check it twice." and bets.

I fold.

WHATTA YA THINK??!!!

Only two to the flop, were you really in the pink game [img]/forums/images/icons/smirk.gif[/img] ?

Headsup, I might have kept betting with my AK. When he talks a little before betting, he might have flopped something big, so I think your fold is OK.

Those players in the pink game are highly sophisticated. Obviously he was using a reverse tell; you should have raised instead of folded.

Okay, seriously, was your opponent in one of the blinds? If so, bet the flop and hope to take it down. If you were out of position, I'm not going to argue with you if you check-fold, especially if you are against an opponent who will play back at you with nothing (knowing that you might be on OC's). If your opponent is straight-forward, though, then you should bet.
