Re: Fixing leaks. 109
i vote fold
you are getting ~1.5:1 on your money, and though his range is wide he is going to have a hand you hate quite often: AK, AQ, AJ, AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT...he does this same thing with all of them. Add in the lower aces and this is nice for you, along with KT, QT and JT, which he probably pushes also...and it gets a little sweeter. Though I don't think you really need this pot right now. If you win you have t2600ish but if you lose you have t1000ish and are now in push mode once the blinds pass. Though if you pass here you are looking nice when the blinds go by and can play a lot of poker yet. I fold ATs/o here as well as AJs/o...though AQ i probably push with. My two and a half cents. AND WITH THAT I'M OFF TO VEGAS FOR THE WEEKEND!! WOOHOO!! |

Re: Fixing leaks. 109
I would move allin, UTG should be psuhing any ace and many other assorted hands. I think its pretty clear cut to be honest.

Re: Fixing leaks. 109
I would push. MP is desperate given the blinds, so I think he'd be pushing with a lot here, unless you know he's really tight. Plus there's 300 in dead money in the pot. You'd push here if he had folded, right? So I wouldn't overly worry about the players behind you.

Re: Fixing leaks. 109
Villain was not UTG, he was MP (UTG+1).
I think the risk of running into a big hand behind you vs the reward of having him beat or earning your EV from the dead money in the pot vs the chance he has you beat pretty bad (i'd say at least 30%) should make this a fold here IMO. If you double him you are now a short stack. If you fold, you have plenty of chips. If the blinds were bigger then i could see this...but with t1700 at lvl 6 there is A LOT of poker left to play. Why leave so much to chance? I say muck this marginal spot and beat them with skill. |

Re: Fixing leaks. 109
Push it. You should be ahead of his range, unless he's been unusually tight.

Re: Fixing leaks. 109
If the original pusher would have posted his next hand, everyone here would have ask him why he has not pushed this one... this is his last (or at least second last) chance with caint of FE and there are to many players left for him to hope for folding into the money. So I would be glad to be the one getting his chips and push. What would be your pushing-range for him? I guess every A, K8+, J+T, may be suited connectors - do I put him on a too desperate situation?
