Sweating
OK, there was mention in another thread of sweating someone else while they played. I think this is a really interesting idea. I, myself, would love to sweat a good player who plays at higher stakes than I do. So, in the interest of science, how many people would be interested in this type of thing?
My idea would be for me to play my normal 4 tables (or maybe cut down to 3 if 4 becomes ridiculous) and have an AIM chat or something open where everyone who is interested can join. Then I'll just type my hand into the chat screen on one of the tables. Hopefully if this works well other people will do it, too. So, just let me know in this thread if you are interested and/or if you have any suggestions as to the smoothest way to operate it. Also, I was thinking of playing NL200 which is my normal game, but if there is no interest for that but some of the newer players would rather I play NL25 or NL50 or whatever that would be fine with me as well. |

Re: Sweating
i like the idea if you have one or two people you trust its fine, i wouldn't want a bunch of 2+2ers knowing my whole cards. Not to insult anyone, but i'm sure there are some assholes who would use this against you.

Re: Sweating
I think it's a great idea.
I think the student would learn more watching you play at your normal stakes; however they must realize that certain things do not translate to NL25. |

Kidding aside, this is a pretty valid concern -- I myself would be wary of my opponents coming into the chat room and not telling me that they're actually in seat 5 at the table. If it's with people you trust, though, that sounds like a great idea. |

Re: Sweating
If people were watching me play like this all the time, I think I'd actually play better poker.

Re: Sweating
Ah, this is a good point which I didn't even think about. Ha. Hm. Anyone have good idea around this? I was hoping to have it be a forum event type thing. But obviously telling the general internet which cards I'm playing at a poker table does pose a certain problem...

Re: Sweating
Make the chatroom password-protected, and send the passwords to people you select via PM. Also, make the sweat session only 1 hour.
