Default Action away from Vegas during WSOP

I've heard two theories about non-Vegas poker action during the WSOP. One is that it dries up because all the players are gone. The other is that only the pros go to WSOP, leaving incredibley good games. Any ideas? I'm interested in So Cal, Bay Area and Tunica -- limit 10-20 and up, any PL or NL.

TIA,
Mack

bay area games are always good.
funny thing I noticed the other night at a bay area club: the ones missing (not sure, but I think they were in vegas) were not the really strong or the really weak players. They were the richer, players who usually can be counted on being there. the game stayed as beatable as ever (no more or less), but it was short for a while, and in danger of not lasting.

at the commerce, the 15-30 up to the 40-80 games are still very good. the larger games aren't going as well, as a lot of the players are in vegas right now. the pl is the same rock garden it usually is.
