Default Best Way To Clean an LCD Screen?

Did some googling, came up with conflicting strategies. Thought I'd pose it here and get some firsthand suggestions.

Soft wash cloth with room temperature water. Get it slightly wet and clean the thing.

Never use anything like windex or other ammonia-based cleaners. Soft lint-free cloths with a VERY mild solution. You can buy LCD cleaning wipes by companies like kensington

Rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab works well, also safe for the monitor.

Rubbing alcohol seems a bit potent. Is this one of those jokes I don't realize til after the fact?

Don't do it. Alcohol will remove the anti-glare coating. Use this instead.
