Default PokerTracker Takes Down a Small Pot

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 Hero (10 handed) converter

Villain was 53/23/2.4; many, if not most of his raises were minraises in position first into the pot. I played this very cautiously, and I imagine it is open to criticism for that reason. However, I would usually fold this to an average sort of player rather than risk six or eight bucks on middle pair OOP. But his PT stats just screamed no way this guy has an ace.

We have frequent discussions about how, or even whether, to use PokerTracker stats. This is how I think PT can be used--with caution, and where the stats are extreme enough to tell you something pretty definitive.

I'm not sure the hand really helps explain how I think PT can be valuable. But it sure looked like it to me; in position, first in, a 53/23 player raises with an ace--he just does.
