Baseball All Name Team
Don't have time to work on this one right at the moment, but perhaps some of you might like to submit a list of greatest baseball names. I'll start with Van Lingle Mungo, which, of course, is the title of Dave Frishberg's song that is made up entirely of names. John |

Re: Death to Flying Things
If you look in the "Complete All Star Everything Baseball" book (I'm not sure on the title) by Accocella (I believe), he comes up with his on all name team. Van Lingo Mungo was on there. Crispi Crespy and Coco Laboy as well. Or what about Yats Wuestling? That book also had a list of players original names. For example, can you name who the following famous players are: Sanford Braun Cornelius McGillicuddy Aloysius Szymanski Alfred Pesano ? |

Napoleon Lajoie from Woonsocket, RI
Van Lingle Mungo is still #1 I think, but Lajoie ain't bad either. I also like Bob Zupcic, Heinie Manush, Adam Hyzou, Ebba St. Claire, Ossee Schreckengost, Enos Slaughter, Woody Wagenhorst, Bernard Bartholomew "Frenchy" Uhalt, and Fabian Sebastian Gaffke. |
