Now that Gas prices are so high
You guys think this would be a good time to buy a new car, specifically a v8, or an SUV? I need a new car, dont care about paying for gas, but you think the cars that guzzle are cheaper now?

I think if you were to buy a used American SUV you'd get a deal.

Penny wise and pound foolish huh.
Why do you care so much about saving money on the car, but have no regard for gas prices. |

Re: Now that Gas prices are so high
Say you buy one of these gas guzzlers that gets 12 mpg city style vs. one of those hybrids that gets like 48 mpg city. The used gas guzzler will cost you like 8k? Whereas hybrids will now cost more, something like 30k? For what integer of mpg would the gas guzzler be more efficient? Exactly.
Edit- my numbers are probably a bit off, and as I dont' feel like doing math/research, I'm just showing how the EV works. |

Re: Now that Gas prices are so high
Well, heres teh point. I dont necassarily care about saving money, but would rather have a nice, luxurious, car that I like a lot, and like to drive. Im going to spend the money one way or the other, I was just curious if right now, because of the prices, I could find a better deal.
Also the fact that I dont drive much makes it more appealing. |
