Default 99 - free showdown play

Villain is loosish, not terribly aggressive, but not rockish post flop either. Flop bet meant seemed like not an ace.

I'm MP with 99

UTG raises, I 3-bet, all fold to UTG who calls.

Flop is A23 Rainbow.

UTG bets, I call.

Turn: Rainbow 5.

UTG bets, I raise.

River: 5

Check, Check.

Eh, I don't like it if he can't fold QQ-TT here (I doubt he has AA or KK, since most cap that liberally, even if they aren't aggressive). A better hand won't fold, and you can show down for the same price by just calling the turn and river. You won't get 3-bet or stop and go'd that way, either.

If you really don't think he has the ace, I raise flop to protect against Kings-Tens, bet turn, and take the free showdown depending on the board/read.

My thought was that he was aggro enough to cap JJ and up here. I don't mind at all if he folds overcards, and I'm not sure he will keep betting a worse hand on the river, and there aren't too many rivers I can bet and get paid off myself...
