Default Odds question

Is 7-1 odds with J 2off in late position usually a good call.

7-1 odds on your money and late position... unlesss you knew a raise was behind you any two cards would be good for 7-1 in my opinion

Any 2 cards? I disagree.

1st off your with a bunch of other callers so you pretty much have to hit a trash hand perfect.

2 pair, trips, fullhouse, quads. about 3.45% 1:28

Now if you hot trips or fullhouse you probably wont get any action. Quads I think you would because no one will place your 72o on a board of 222. But thats 0.01%

Any 2 suited you its 15.29 or 1:5.5 But then again For trash I think I would like 10:1 considering that if you are getting 5.5:1 there is a decent chance (probably 20%) someone else holds 2 of your suit in a pot with 5 other callers.

Jack Two offsuit has an 8% chance to be the best hand against 7 random hands. And you're playing 7 callers, not 7 random hands. Your wins are going to come mostly from getting 2 of the 6 outstanding Jacks and Twos on the board. Even assuming that happens, there's a 70% chance they won't both be on the flop. You'd probably fold a pair of Twos on the flop, and a pair of Jacks if there's a higher card showing. With seven opponents, two pair could easily lose and three Twos is vulnerable. Three Jacks or better would probably take it, but it could easily lose.

You have to be very lucky to make a profit on this hand.
