Default Ray and Ed, the stripers have hit the bay

and are being closely followed by the halibut. word is that the anchovies have come in a bit earlier than last year, and the game fish have followed them in. time to break out the 8 wt. and the clousers.

Not for the 2 wt. I'd love to try for stripers some day. I guess trout will have to do for now. Have fun!

thanks. but i am all wraped up in my new house on the flathead river. i did float the river today for a few hours but didnt fish. water is a little murky. lots of flies coming off but no rises. still nymph time. i dont think i will get to missoula soon. but if we continue with this nice weather i might change my mind and run down for a weekend fish.
