Default Merrell Shoes

Anyone own a pair of these? You like them? I'm thinking of getting this style with Goretex:

I find that utility type shoes like these perform better the more they look like giant turds, which bodes well for these. I've owned a pair or two of Merrells, and they are usually pretty solid. Obviously make sure they are a good fit for your foot, and for heaven's sake, don't buy them off the Internet, unless you've tried em on in person somewhere first.

Yeah, I tried them on in the store, but they were out of the color I wanted. I like the draw-string laces these have and hopefully the Goretex keeps your feet cooler.

I haven't owned those. But I am a huge Merrell fan. I've got hiking, crosstraining and even sandels and have for years. You spend a bit more in my area for Merrell but it's the best stuff you can buy, period.

It's too bad that most Merrells are ugly.

i bought a totally ridiculous pair of merrell's that are basically a half mesh watershoe. they are not pretty shoes unless apparently you are a gay shoe salesman, which is who sold them to me. however, they are really good shoes. as are the other merrell shoes that i tried on, but didn't buy, including the pair pictured here.
