Default Downswinging... badly

I am on a -170 BB downswing in the last 2k hands after going 7 BB/100 for the last 18k hands (prior to the losses).
Is this normal? I am losing much of my composure lately.
Interestingly, I don't remember ever winning a hand with a top pair this week.

It sucks monkey balls.
It's normal.
Try not to tilt much.
It's going to turn around if you are a good player.

I had an absolutely insane 11.66/100 upswing over 3k hands a couple of weeks ago. That was followed by a -1.79/100 down over 1500 hands. What I found out was that I was playing some pretty speculative crap that was working earlier and later was not. I know it's a miniscule sample, but what I'm talking about is getting away from what was making me successful. I was "taking off the training wheels" too often.

So, if there's a point to this ramble, I guess what you should do is look at hand histories to see what has been a weakness and eliminate them.

Disclaimer: Anything I did at 2+2 tables was not included in my self analysis. That was temporary insanity brought on by alcohol and the full moon.

I think 7 is sustainable at limits lower than .25/.50

You've had 7 180BB upswings, and 1 170BB downswing so far.

I think you're doing ok.

There's a reason why 'adequate bankroll' is defined as 300BB. Because you can have monster downswings, but 300BB should get you through them.

Take the $$ out of the equation... concentrate on making good poker decisions.
