I like the CR on the flop...not a bad move representing a "7" from the blinds. I'm shocked he came over the top. I'd probably fold here, at least a "J" would have to be my guess. Shame to dump that many chips this early on the CR though

I guess this move might be better suited when he leads 1/3-3/4....the point being, it saves you some chips when you fold to a push.

I don't think this works out well for you too often.

So you want me to checkraise the flop to 300? Anything less would give a J odds to draw. I would hate for it to be checked through on the flop and there are SOO MANY cards which give me cold feet-- and lead to NO action. I understand a check raise will pick up the pot often, but is it really the best way to get most value? How do others play a draw heavy flop w/ TP/NK OOP vs a loose player?

Does anyone like the idea of a 200 chip blocking bet on river? Are stacks too shallow to bleed this many chips? How does one keep the pot small? Bad beat or bad play?

Qx where x is bigger than 2 immediately comes to mind. J9s for the flopped straight. KJ? Couple of diamonds?

I'd go into check/fold mode after he calls the flop bet.

Why get so attached to this pot anyway? Sure, you have top pair on the flop. It's likely the best hand. But maybe not. You could already be behind. Any way that you play this, your goal should be to keep this pot as small as possible.

There are about 280343034 cards that could kill your hand on the turn, but keep in mind, you might not even be ahead anyway. I'm not against betting the flop, but so what if it gets checked through? Would losing a small pot that you might have been able to protect from a gazillion bad turn cards be a complete disaster? Why risk so many of your chips on such a marginal hand?

That's my way of saying that I hate checkraising the flop here.

I don't see too many people to bluff at this situation, it seems like he hit his straight. You can only guess what he had, but a straight is what I think. So I think it's a good laydown.
