What do you think villian has?

I have no reads but villian hasn't done anything out of line so far. I actually was afraid of an overpair when I folded, but immediataly after folding I realized that only JJ would just call pre-flop. So villian either has JJ, pair of 9's, 2 diamonds, a lone 5, or a smaller pp. And I think that all possibilites are just about equally likely, though, 2 diamonds and a lone 5 may be slightly more likely.

I guess I had about a 50% chance of winning this pot. ( I should get that program that everyone talks about) You don't think 50% would be a good gamble here?

I don't know how I feel either way really, I just don't think it's the worst fold ever.

He could have (not in order of likelyness):

55
5x
overpair
A9
9x
Ad9
xdxd
xd9
6d7s
6d8d
7d8d
AdKd

But I don't know. You put in a pretty big bet, and he came over the top giving you almost 2:1 to call. So, even though I doubt he's thinking about it enough, he could easily have you beat. The times he has you beat, along with the times he'll hit his draw by the river, I could let this hand go pretty easily. I'll just get involved later in a more favorable situation.

(If you call and are behind, you can still hit a T though)
