Re: Quick preflop trivia
My vpip has been at 30 for eons and I've been trying to get it lower lately. I have, and my results have improved...Without solid reads, I chuck all six of these hands...
It's a good post, because it's a pain to muck these but I could not play them profitably/sanely, especially the 5's & 6's after raising trying to isolate...just too tense for me wondering if I have beaten the overcards on the board when a set doesn't flop. |

Re: Quick preflop trivia
1, 3-6 same. 2, I have recently tried raising this with terrible success. I believe I need to work on my post-flop play/reads before raising this UTG.
#4, this is very read dependent. Who was the raiser, what is his PFR%? If it's below 10, fold. If it's above 25%, call??? |

Re: Quick preflop trivia
I 3bet KQ and depending on the blinds, either raise or limp with 55-66. Since the blinds are usually very loosey goosey at 3/6, i typically limp behind. 77 is a raise though.

I don't get how people are advocating folding more than me here with higher quoted VPIPs. Must be defending blinds more or something... |

Re: Quick preflop trivia
I'm skeptical of a lot of these responses because no one is considering where the raise came from. I've recently started playing 6 max on party poker and am trying to put together a decent preflop strategy so by all means prove me wrong. Wouldn't a lot of these answers be different if the raise was utg vs. if the raise was say the CO and you are the button, or are they the same because we always have relative position on the preflop raiser? Essentially what I'm saying is, are people going to loosen up their raising standards as 1 or 2 people fold up front? (obviously this isn't referring to #2 and #5)
