obviously i've played sng's before, but i am a relative newbie. the all-in raise was slightly more than the pot. that should take out any draws, right? i just wanted to take the pot right there and ensure myself a better position in the whole tournament.

i dont like this turn push at all if this is above a 30+3.
unnecessarily risky for this early stage.

i am only behind AA, JJ, 99 and 88. would the BB play it like this? this is at 50+5 (won a freeroll) into it.

So far I've played only 800 chip PP tournies, but at those levels I would never give free card for that board.

Any reasonable sized bet is going to commit you, so I'd have to push that turn.

I think you played it exactly as it should be played. I'm not sure why the level matters. In this case, you're relatively sure that you have the best hand and you want to take it down immediately. I don't see why you would want to change your play if you were playing a 100 instead of a 20.

while unlikely, youre also behind Q-10, 10-7 and 3-3 and drawing dead to Q-10 and 10-7.

wait, come to think of it, youre also behind J9, J8, 98, J3, 93 and 83.

that being said, you played it the same way i would. id expect the bastard to turn over QQ or 1010 or a set.
