how do i extract the most here

Flop: (t1230) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets t400</font>, CO folds. Final Pot: t1630 I'm thinking i can't check the flop after making such a big reraise pf, so i have to make it look big and make him think that i want the pot now with AK or something....what do you guys think...

Looks like a solid line to me.
I'm playing the $11s on Party right now, so sometimes in this situation I will simply push this flop hoping to get a call from 10s through Ks who think I'm pushing AK. In your case it appears no bet on the flop would have induced action, and neither would a C/R.

As transparent as it is I check the flop. You have almost no draws to protect against, and I'm okay letting him draw to his set if it dramatically increases the chance of money going in the pot. Giving him another chance to make a second best hand doesn't hurt either. People are dumb. Check call the flop, and lead the turn if it gets checked behind.

It's a little bit frustraiting to win so little from AA, but as Super/System says "this is exactly what you want." It's better to win a small pot with them, than have someone suck out on you and loose a big pot. I really don't see anything glaringly wrong with your play. He didn't play back. That's all

Based on the starting chip counts, I assume this is Level 1. To win over 600 chips with AA at this level is nothing to complain about. The more frequent result is to get a couple of limpers to you, you raise to 80 or 100, and everyone folds, giving you a 70 chip pot.

There is a huge distinction between cash games and tournaments / sngs. Whenever I pick up AA in a tourney I'm looking to double up, not win a small pot.

Just because you shouldn't be specifically upset about how the hand turned out doesn't mean you shouldn't have played it better to achieve an even more desireable outcome.
