Default Preflop button question

Lowest of low limits at a B&M (9-handed). It's rarely if ever raised PF, and it's usually 7+ to the flop when you fold. Players suck postflop, calling stations, never c/r, etc. You've got the button & they all limp to you: What's the worst XX you play?

Hrm. How's this? 22+,A2s+,K7s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T8s+,97s+,87s,76s,65s,54s, 43s,32s,A9o+,K9o+,QTo+,J9o+,T9o,98o,87o,76o,65o

I don't know if any offsuit connectors lower than 56 are profitable.. probably borderline. This accounts for 32% of all hands btw.

EDIT: you could probably profitably add any suited king or queen

The worst I would play would be Axs and 65s, 54s. I would be playing any pp, and I would play QJs. QJo is a muck, so is QTo. I would still not play 65o JTo in any circumstances. Only from the SB or BB. They are not profitable. Just because a lot of players are involved does not mean you should play them. They are -ev

Pots

Not in this spot they aren't.

I'd play anything suited or connected here and it would be +EV to do so if I know what I am going postflop.

This is terrible advice. Disregard it.

Instead, think about why they are profitable. In the hands of the other players at the table they may be big money losers becuase they will flop middle pair and call down hoping to improve, but you will play it much better and fold when you have no chance of winning or call when it is profitable.

It boils down to post flop skills. If you think you are up to snuff then play these marginal hands, especially in big pots. If not, just fold them. If you want to get better you have to try new things.

This forum needs to have a weekly nicest poster award. Maybe give the winner a big smily face next to his posts.
