I'd say it's 50/50 between him having 2 pair or worse, and having you beat. Looks fine.

good slow down...in fact I might have check/called the river. He could have a set or straight, but a worse 2 pair is probably more likely. I don't want to play for my stack here though, so I like slowing down here.

check call river. no reason to bet there unless you are planning on calling a big raise or push.

Do you know anything about UTG? I think a terrible player wouldn't have smooth called a set on the flop and raised the turn, but probably would have called the flop with Ax, A4, or A5. If he was terrible, I probably wouldn't have slowed down. If he was decent, this was a good play.

I like to play small pots w/ 2pair. I would have probably folded to a big turn or river raise. How weak is that?

played perfectly if you ask me. I disagree with check calling the river, I think you done the right thing by betting and calling raise. 5 handed on a very safe board this is a big hand and i think you got good value out of it without overplaying it, nice IMO

I would've raised the turn. That min-raise screams to me that he just called your flop bet w/ an ace. It could also be a pure bluff-- you bet w/ a pair of nines and now he's trying to use the ace as a scare card. I suspect he has A2-AT. If he is very passive, he might have AJ-AK. Most people raise with a pocket pair pre-flop 5 handed, so I think a set is very unlikely.

I think you are way ahead in this hand and should try to get as much money as possible out of villian. 60% he has a pair of aces, 20% he is on a pure bluff, 15% he's got a worse two pair. 5% he has a set.

Good slow down. I also say check-call the river. That turn raise is somewhat spooky considering his flop call. I think that you are probably ahead on the river more than you are behind. Did he show you the same hand?
