Default 2/4 Turned bottom set faces all-in on flush board on river

Empire 400NL full ring. Villain (33/5/2.8) has $301, I cover.

I get 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in BB

Villain limps UTG+1, another guy raises to $16. I call from BB, Villain calls.

Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checks around.

Turn is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I bet $50, Villain calls, PF raiser folds.

River is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check, Villain pushes for $235. I thought a while and called.

Comments?

if you check to induce a bluff, you must call.

i'd have probably blocked the river...and then talked myself into calling when he came over the top

Lead the river. Don't put yourself in a guessing situation, letting someone possibly bluff you off the pot. Has villian pushed other possible scare cards to your knowledge?

Not to my knowledge but his stats, as you can see, are a little wonky.

Default Results.

I called. He showed QJ (no spades) and I took down a nice pot.

A bit silly of him to bluff in a hand that he was probably ahead given the action !! Nh.
