Edit: converter is messed up here, villain pushes on the river.

Am I beat by 2nd 7? Do I bet the turn? Should I just push the flop?

Thanks!

Default Re: TT hand

the ol' catch-22 (honestly, i'm not sure what that REALLY means)...

you've built a pot PF that makes it very difficult for you to navigate post-flop -- but when you limp, you end up 5-6 handed vs. 3 handed.

at THIS level, in THIS position, following the limp...i'm limping along.

raising the flop is most definately appropriate. but because of the pot size, your HUGE raise (over the t15), is still only 1/2 the pot. he's getting better than 4:1, assuming he might be flush/straight drawing.

NOW you have a t500 turn pot - not quite sure where you stand. you've priced yourself out of the hand here.

--REWIND--

you limp. maybe a 4th joins the party. pot size=t60. BB bets his lame t15....you pop it to 'new pot' - t75ish (even t100).

now you two hit the turn looking at, say t225. of course this card is way scary. but how scary? quick way to find out. he checks, you lead for t150-175ish (i personally couldn't push here, with him possibly calling a 7 on the flop - though i don't think he has one). he calls, you get a cheap check-check showdown maybe. he pushes over, you fold - out t15+t75+t150=t235. roughly the same price it cost you to get practically no where having built the pot up PF.
