Default typical short stack hand

10-10-20 no limit. I'm short stacked with $1200. The game is currently 7 handed.

I have 77 in early position. I open for $80 basically hoping to steal the blinds. The guy on my right goes all in for $700. He has been getting hammered. I'm planning to gamble with him but then the SB (who has me way covered) flat calls the all-in bet. In the short period of time I've been at the table I have not seen the SB make any spectacular moves (good or bad).

What's your play? At the time I thought it was an easy decision.

I belive he flat called because he wants you in. I belive there's a big chance you're behind here. No to mention the all-in player may have you beat. I think I'd lay it down.

I'm miles away from playing that high and I may be wrong so I'd like to see what others think.

I think thats an easy fold, even if both just have over cards, you are an underdog, assuming they dont both have the same 2 over cards, and if one has an overpair you are a huge dog

Agree with all the above - an easy fold...unless you've got a very good read on your opponents.

I'd fold every time.

That $80 to go can work very well in the LC NL game. See you there this Wednesday or Friday (I'll be there for parts of both games).

I folded. My hand would have been good though.
