Default I cant beat the $215...

...and i hate it!

I 8-table the $109 with fair sucess: 3000 tournies and a roi of 5.72. I know many 2+2'ers do better and thats why i seek your advice on how to get better.

I take my stabs at the 215 and seem to get burned. After 122 tournies im down 4000 $ of which app 1200 $ is bad luck hu (i ran thru all my all-in hu confrontations and calculated that i lost app 30000 more chips than i was supposed too. Since i figured 1000 t$ was worth 40$ when head up in a 200$ tournament i estimated the bad luck factor of 1200 $). Of course many other kinds of bad luck exist but i think it is fair to say i cannot beat the tournaments.

So what is the problem? Well i seem to lose on certain blind levels. I think maybe im to tight. My stats on the blind levels 50/100, 75/150 and 100/200 are less than impressive to say the least:

50/100:
hands: 27560
t$ won -25261
vol put t$ in the pot 11.68
pf raise %: 9.4

75/150:
hands 14447
t$ won -1446
vol put t$ in the pot 16.07
pf raise %: 13

100/200
hands 18429
t$ won -41302
vol put t$ in the pot 20.39
pf raise %: 16.2

Does this stat strike u as unusual? I think maybe im too tight. How does my stats compare to yours?

Maybe its a litle bit naive to think that my problem can be solved just by looking at stats, but maybe some of u great poker players can guide me in the right direction.

All help appreciated.

I'd suggest stop 8 tabling the $109s, focus hard on not making mistakes and try to maximize chips on every hand (ie, get better at poker).

Ok. With less than 6% at the $109s I'm not sure you can actually beat the $215s.

6% is pretty good.. That's what 90+ an hr??? You obviously have room to grow so why not just stick to the $109s for now and work on your game. Get paid to learn

so you make $6 a tourny at the 109's? Why not just 8 table the 33's

With a ROI of 5,72% you can expect some huge swings so it will be very hard to judge if you are actually beating the 215's or not, especially after only 122 tourneys.

I would definately step back to 4 tables and try to improve your game first, in the long run it will make you a lot more profit.

"~$52/hr"

You might wanna include rakeback, it's more valuable at the higher stakes

dude, people who are beating the 109s for 5% shouldn't be playing the 109s, even for the rakeback.
