Default 92o makes underfull - Pot Control? 5/10

villain is total unknown. has been sitting for 3 orbits and seems to play pretty average preflop, has stolen blinds. he hasn't taken a hand to showdown.

Villain open limps in UTG+2, two limps to me on BB with 92, i check.

I bet 40, villain calls

2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (125)

I bet 100, villain raises to 200...

Insta-call, I say insta because it will make it appear as if your on a flush draw. Than check raise river. If he checks to you on the river i like overbetting the river as opposed to value betting. This will seem as if you missed your flush and are trying to buy it. I like betting 700 on the river. But again a lot of this depends on stack size which i dont see if stacks are small make a value bet if he has a big stack i like overbetting.

He has a 9...call if he is timid, reraise if he will go broke with a single 9 here.

River is where it gets interesting.

Maybe I'm just reading this incorrectly, but how can you check-raise someone on the river, and ALSO over-bet the pot if they check to you. This may be donk-ish, but I like reraising the turn to something like $200 more. He has odds to call if he has a flush draw, and for $200 more, I doubt he folds a big ace. If I called on the turn, I bet $400 on the river, unless it's an Ace. Value value value.

He doesn't have a flush draw, how many people check a flush draw on the flop but raise with it on the turn in a heads up pot.

I don't feel AA/22 as much as a 9, I don't know why. I suppose you are right, wouldn't he wait for the river to pump a lock, the problem is you have no idea how he plays. Because of this, I would think that generally, this is a 9 more than a boat, and would play accordingly.

AA/A9 same difference

Edit: When I said he has a 9, i meant a single 9, not the hand A9, you knew that, right?
