Default Is this ordinary for the party 10/20 game?

I'm essentially a good low stakes NL player who wants to move up to the big games some day. Not yet, as I still have a decent amount of learning to do.

Is it me, or are these VERY easy folds for the guys who ended up calling/pushing in both situations? Is this normal for this game?

Hand 1:

***** Hand History for Game 2464075303 *****
$2000 NL Texas Hold'em - Tuesday, August 02, 01:54:36 EDT 2005

Total number of players : 10
Seat 1: CheesePleze ( $2403 )
Seat 2: CaptainCdn ( $5907 )
Seat 3: tdr101poker ( $1697 )
Seat 4: Litlebstrd ( $2687 )
Seat 5: KingAce228 ( $7579 )
Seat 6: H82rungood ( $3294 )
Seat 7: dbw99 ( $2157 )
Seat 8: MyEmpyre ( $2000 )
Seat 9: AliKings ( $1980 )
Seat 10: eufor1a ( $3193.50 )
dbw99 posts small blind [$10].

UTG folds.
UTG+1 is all-In [$2493.50]
BTN folds.
SB is all-In [$900]
** Dealing Turn ** [ Qh ]
** Dealing River ** [ Kc ]
SB shows [ 7h, 7c ] three of a kind, sevens.
UTG+1 shows [ Jh, Jd ] a pair of jacks.
XXXXXX wins $1193.50 from side pot #1 with a pair of jacks.
XXXXXX wins $5407 from the main pot with three of a kind, sevens.

Are people not capable of folding overpairs in this game with 3 people betting like crazy on a raggedy flop?

Hand #2
Villian and other dude are both 120BB deep. Villian opens 4xBB from MP, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Btn calls, SB reraises to 500$ (25BB), Villian pushes all in so fast I couldn't believe it, and SB calls with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]?!?!!?!?!

Is there something I'm missing?

the fact that bigger games play much more aggressively.

Those are both easy folds at small stakes. I can't speak for the 10/20 exactly, but higher-stake games are much more aggressive. Testing the raiser with complete air is incredibly common.

I've made both of those calls many times.

I was the person with JJ in this hand, and although I should have been much more worried about the SB's cold call than I was, it was fairly clear both the original bettor and the guy who made it 1000 (who is one of my favorite fish in this game) had nothing. Perhaps I was slightly steaming when I pushed, but the game was going fairly nuts at the time and an overpair seemed like a good spot to get my money in against a couple tards.

without any reads on villains in the two hands I think its impossible to say if any of the plays was wrong or not

the guy hasnt put a chip in postflop, and he calls a bet and two effing raises cold!
and diablo, get outta here! you are putting your money in there after SB calls threebets cold on this board?
obviously this is a good flop for JJ, but its pretty obvious SB has the nutd in this spot.

Downstem is right.... the one raiser in that hand was a complete maniac. He was up 4 buy-ins at one point, so I couldn't decide if he was actually very good, or just extremely lucky; but definitely borderline maniac.

I didn't see much out of the guy that pushed all in with KK preflop, other than he definitely had not been out of line yet.

Have I folded here a lot as well? Yes. However, as I said initially, there are many times when I'll happily stick my chips in the middle in these games in spots like these.

If your description is accurate, I really think it's fine sticking the money in.
