Default AKo on a small stack facing a push from the short stack

Blinds are 25/50. They go up to 50/100 in a minute.

SB ~1200
I'm at ~1300

He's the shortstack. I'm right there with him. We've got 7 players left, and I dont have any reads - my fault for not having PT and not paying enough attention.

I pick up AKo in EP. UTG folds, I make it 200 to go. Folded to the SB who pushes. BB folds.

Should I have open-pushed?

Do I call?

I think the pot is laying you good enough odds for a call unless he's super tight. No read, so I would call.

No I don't open push here and yes I call this. Although I've been running into Kings and Aces a lot lately and it hurts =(

Guess I looked like a man beaten by jacks.

He shows JJ, I can't hit an ace, king or his 3rd jack to straighten up.

Thanks for justifying my call
