Accidental shoplifting
Grocery shopping yesterday, and after paying, leaving and packing my car i notice in the bottom of the shopping cart (half under one of those bargin leaflets they hand out) is an 8 pack of AAA batteries that i put in my cart. My initial thought was that they had fallen out of one of my bags- but i realize that i don't remember putting them on the converyer belt (some things stick out in my memory) or seeing htem rung up. 2:1 if i check the reciept they aren't on there.
