why an ipod?

inspired by a retarded friend of mine, i was wondering: why would a pc user buy an ipod, unless it's in an attempt to be trendy/fashionable? i just don't see it.

ok i just realized that i am only semi-literate. i missed the "don't" in the original reply. now it makes sense...he has a contract with apple to use their products, and we have further evidence that i am retarded. still i'm not sure why he singled out dell...
