How did I play this?
Opponent has not made any moves out of line so seems like a solid player.

Re: How did I play this?
You lost to AA, didn't you? I'd raise to 225 preflop, then push after his re-raise. If he has AA, oh well, it happens.

Re: How did I play this?
After soccer's reraise PF, I get all my chips in the middle.
On thos flop, I'm only getting away from the hand if there's an ace. |

Re: How did I play this?
Is there any merit to the strategy of just calling the opponents reraise preflop?
My thinking was, it's still early, don't let the pot get out of control. If the Ace hit's the flop, I'm probably beat, otherwise push in. Now if it's later in the tournament I totally agree with reraising all in preflop. Also does anyone else ever see someone limp reraise and not have AA? |

Is there any merit to the strategy of just calling the opponents reraise preflop? [/ QUOTE ] KK is just one pair, not the nuts. It's almost certainly the best hand, but there are lots of ways for it to be beaten post flop. If your opponent liked his hand preflop, he will still like it and will get the chips in. [ QUOTE ] My thinking was, it's still early, don't let the pot get out of control. [/ QUOTE ] Why not? You have KK! [ QUOTE ] Also does anyone else ever see someone limp reraise and not have AA? [/ QUOTE ] All the time. |

I saw it with 56s last night, no joke. [/ QUOTE ] The thought process usually goes something like this (I imagine) Ok I have a suited connector I want to see a flop. [censored], someone raised those bastards! Ok well if I push here he'll think I have AA and fold bwahahahaahahhaha. In chat: Raiser: Damn I have KK Raiser: You limp reraising bastard Raiser folds Raiser: Hahahaha I'm Phil Hellmuth, I folded KK preflop Raiser: Did you have it? Limp-raiser: Of course Limp-raiser (irl): *snicker* noob |

Re: How did I play this?
Well, in my case, as I was the one who was re-raised to, I just called with my AQs (it was 5 handed, I think) and then I bet on the A high flop which was called, then checked it down to the river, or something. He didn't even pair.
