AA with a Problem Flop
Yeah...I just don't know what to do here.
On the turn I check, villain raises 200, I push, he thinks and calls. Re: AA with a Problem Flop
Bet more on the flop. The board is ultra-scary and you have two opponents. If he calls and the 9 comes... That's f*cked up. Dammit. I just can't fold aces after seeing people show down hands like K7 in situations like these SO many times.. But maybe you just might check-fold the turn here.
What did the villain have?? 44? |

Villain shrewdly called my pre-flop raise with Q9 because he knew he'd flop a straight

I think at the levels I play at ($1-$10) this isn't always a fold because most people would play K2s like that. |

Re: AA with a Problem Flop
Bet 1/2 pot on the turn, fold if he raises, check/fold the river if he calls....A check raise on the turn gives you no chance of getting away from the hand...

Re: AA with a Problem Flop
I don't understand what's the best way to play this flop either.
I'm torn between checking the flop to keep it small and seeing what villains do for free vs. betting 1/2 the pot and hoping that the flop is scarry enough that first to bet wins it. |

Re: AA with a Problem Flop
If your sure your beat checking the flop and folding is fine. A check raise is bad in this situation with such a textured bored. 1/2 size pot would be a good indication on where you stand. At least next time the fish will pay you off.

[/ QUOTE ] We have about 600 on the turn and the pot is 550. I don't like betting 1/2 my stack on the turn with the intention of folding to a raise. |
