Default Call all-in based on pot odds here???

$11 SNG. This may be standard, easy answer for most of you. Want to see if your answer is the same as mine. Getting 2.3 to 1 odds here to call the re-raise. Do you call here? Oh, as usual, please do not hesitate to comment on any other aspect of how I played the hand.

Thanks.

It's probably +EV to call his reraise b/c of pot odds, but what you would gain by winning probably doesn't offset what you would lose by losing.

At level 3, in an $11, I wouldn't raise KQs in this situation. Rely on limping and winning the hand post flop. It's to early to be calling marginal all-ins.

Standard, IMHO. Assuming you called, and I think you did.

I either fold or limp this from mp after a limper at this stage of the game. Later when some of the donks are knocked out and the blinds are bigger, KQs is a very good hand, but its not here.

A lot of times at the 11's I see people limp/reraise with AA or KK. Sometimes you'll see something like K6o too, but the times you're behind with KQs in this situation are probably greater than the times you are ahead here. I'd probably fold.

I'd call if the raiser has been playing really, really, really loose.

That is exactly what I was thinking at the time when deciding whether to call. Great pot odds, but the risk of losing is greater than the reward of calling and winning. That would not be so true, I suppose, if he had a larger stack. The risk/reward favors him with his smaller stack. Perhaps raising is better move against a limper with a larger stack who is less willing to take an all-in risk and whose all-in won't give me such attractive pot odds.

are you saying the call is standard or the play in general??

do you raise with kqs vs. a limper at this blind level?
... maybe im more weak-tight than i thought.

You are correct. I did. But I didn't like doing it. So I think I'll play the hand differently next time. I guess I didn't think through the hand and consider the possibility of him re-raising and figuring that into my decision about how to play the hand preflop. Still learning. So much to think about before you enter a pot. I guess this is what good players think about when they take time to think before entering a pot.

If that's standard play, then I play to weak tight too. I might raise there if there was no limper, maybe.

I'd never raise a limper with KQ in level 3. You have 0 fold equity and you're forcing yourself to play a big pot with a marginal hand. First in I might raise, otherwise I'd probably just call or fold.

After thinking about this hand after playing it, I now agree with those who say that raising here was a mistake, and that limping is the best way to go.
