I own it and it's very good. It's probably one of the better the best wireless setups out there. If you have any bluetooth items you might consider the bluetooth version. The laser mouse is probably better but I've never tested it so I have no idea...what I do know is that the MX800 mouse is pretty awesome and the laser mouse had better server drinks to be a significantly better mouse.

I would buy the next set up, with the mx1000 mouse.

these are very good products. if you wanted the absolute top of the line, get the mx1000 mouse, though the difference is minimal considering the quality of the 500. i just bought the mx1000 for $40 which has a few more buttons, but the laser tracking is not functionally better unless you plan on mousing on polished metals or glassed surfaces lol. guess its a good idea if you have a chrome desk or like to use it on your coffee table lol.

That's not the mx500 in the picture, it's the wireless version (mx800). The battery in the mx1000 is much better, plus it's got better button positioning imo (3 thumb buttons).

decent. I prefer this one for poker/word processing but the specific unit I have fails with games. For some reason it continues firing in some FPS games I own. Strange. The MSoft unit I got to replace it doesn't. The Logitech unit doesn't do anything wrong for desktop tasks or poker.
