Default On the Bubble

Hi guys,

I was told this site rules when it comes to advice on SNG's.

The problem im having is finishing on the bubble in Single table SNG's. I play $5 SNGs at Pokerstars.

I have finished 4th 60% of the times in my last 20. I always end up with 4 to go, with roughly everyone on 3-4K in chips. Am I tightening up too much? should I raise with all the crappy hands im getting?

Any advice would be great

Yes, you are probably playing too tight. Take a look at the forum FAQ to find something on bubble play. Browse /search forum on bubble play.

FIrstly, your sample size is far too small, it takes hundreds to thousands of sng's before you get an accurate picture of how good you truely are.

That being said from the information given I would say you are not being aggressive enough. I would suggest checking the SNG FAQ and the archives. They are rich with information for beginners.

Welcome to the board.
