But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
Four quick hands:
1) First one is early and an obvious fold, but it makes me ask how low to go with suited aces in levels 1-3. I say AJ...bueno? Re: But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
Hand 1) You are in position, call unless you have reason to fear a limp reraise.
Hand 2) Fold, you aren't in position, and your stack is too big relative to the blinds to make pushing +EV Hand 3) I complete here, button limp is slightly worrisome but you are getting 5:1 so you can't fold (though I fold offsuit aces here) Hand 4) Ugh. I grit my teeth and push, but I don't like having the big stack on my left. |

I was afraid limping was just throwing chips away, you don't think it's a danger to my future FE (even though I did straight...and then flush)? How do you adjust when there's another aggressive pusher and you suspect the other players are trying to trap? |

Re: But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
1 and 2 are easy folds. As to hand #3, I might push if I felt the button would lay down his hand after limping - I would need a read though. Of course, i would do that move w/ a LOT worse hands than A4s. i wouldn't just call though, but that is just me - calling isn't bad.
Hand 4 is another read dependent one for me. against the average big stack, I push (assuming my image isn't maniacal), but against a loose one, i fold. |

Re: But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
1: easy fold. i'd fold AJs. i'd call AQs.
2: i might open-raise if it were folded to me, but i definitely fold with a limper. 3: if the button is not one of these never-raise guys (i.e., could have AJ), i complete here. i don't like a push because a4s plays pretty badly against any hand that calls you. but the button could be coming in quite light, so i want to play. 4: i'd push. you're going to need to win a hand at some point and you're hand is (a little) better than average. at least it's soooooted. |

Re: But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
1 and 2 are folds. 3 is read dependent, but push or complete could work depending. 4 is an easy push. I think that's a terrible fold and am surprised some people are advocating it.

Re: But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
Woops, I didn't fold 4. I pushed and got called by A2, the 2 folds are UTG and Button, converted missed "hero is all-in"

Re: But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
Methinks you are second-guessing the pre-flop folds in hands 1 and 3 because you would've ended up with the nut flush both times. Personally, I fold hand 1 100% of the time in level 1. Why? Because mostly you will get in serious trouble when you flop an Ace. As for hand 3, you are getting 5-1, so this is an easy completion, and possibly a push if the button is weak.

Re: But They\'re Sooted (suited aces at 3 levels)
one and two are easy folds. Whether I would call in hand 1 with AQs is debatable.
for hand 3 completing, pushing, and folding are all reasonable. I don't mind pushing here though. hand 4 is an easy push and its not close. |
