Default Old Friends

In 8th grade I was friends with this kid, but in 9th grade he moved back to teh town like 30 minutes over and we didn't see eachother much.

Last night he IMs me in Spanish (kept messing up simple things like "como estas" turned into "como estoy" and "amigo" turned into "amiga") and we have a long talk. I find out he had a similarly difficult life journey and that he "has thought about me a lot." I also find out, that like many teenagers in my area, that he has become a Bush-hater and a very dedicated Socialist.

He says he wants to meet up sometime and I told him sure. I really hope he doesn't talk about politics because I don't really care about the rest of the world.

Then today I go out for lunch with two friends and one of the waitresses is a girl I knew (again for one year). I knew her my freshman year of high school and I remember being a jerk to her. I tried to avoid any contact, but she ended up coming over and saying hello and again I found out that she wasn't in high school either. She got her GED and is in community college.

I didn't make potential plans with her, and afterwards went over another friends house and I was like "oh I saw xxx today" and they were like "oh yeah she has clemedia."

So why am I meeting all these people I haven't seen in a long time again and why have so many of them left high school?

Your life is flashing before your eyes. It's the Ghosts of July Past and Present. The Ghost of July Future should be by shortly. You better figure out what the hell's wrong with your shitacular attitude or whatever you've got going on and get it fixed - it's the only way you can go on to be a productive member of society.
