Whassup With Yankee Stadium Flag?

I thought torn & frayed was an old Stones song.


Please don't tell me this is some kind of "this flag was flying 9/11 and it's staying up till the war's over" kind of yellow ribbon deal.

My understanding is that the flag was flying at the World Trade

Center on 9/11 and was damaged there, then subsequently was used

at various funerals and memorial services for victims.
