so I want to buy something off ebay. i just signed up for a paypal account. do I have to add money from my bank account? I dont want to wait 3-4 days to verify, I'd just like to buy in with my debit card. does this work?

i dont quite understand the way paypal works. I thought it was mostly credit card based but it seems more like a neteller type of deal...

If you add a credit card as your backup funding method, you won't have to wait until the check clears. The money will be instantly transfered into the seller's account. If your bank denies the EFT, paypal will charge your credit card.
