Default Oh man. (nc)

So, I've been playing some STEPs recently, mostly mini 5s, regular 4s and 5s.

I thought I'd try and play a STEP Higher 3. I get lucky, qualify for the STEP Higher 4.

The payout for the 4s are:

1&2: Freeroll to STEP Higher 5
3: $3.5k
4: $3k
5: $1.5k
6: $800
7: $600

So, I was 'playing for 4th' as you might call it because that's the spot of biggest pay increase, and because 1st is not even worth 2x 4th.

As we get down to 6, I'm 2nd in chips. Just folding my way along, stealing occasionally. Lost an all-in AKo to AJo. You know, standard stuff.

We get to 4, I'm happy. Then I realize, I'm 2nd in chips. Chip leader has a HUGE stack, and the other two are short. I think, "Oh man, I'm gonna take 2nd!"

It plays out, I take 2nd, and now I'm probably gonna play a STEP 5 Higher, lose a $15k coinflip, and cry for two weeks.
