Like, where do y'all play? At casinos? Don't you have to pay a fee/rake? Isn't it possible to play privately? I am looking for a game near the Montreal area but there is none at our casino yet. Any advice?

Also, what do y'all do for taxes? Do you work a side job and consider Poker as your "hobby"? Do you actually pay all your Poker taxes? Or is there any other loop holes you use?

[/ QUOTE ]

All the pros I know play only in casinos and declare their income. Anything else is a good way to get your face kicked in, be it by the dude across the table at the underground cardroom or by the dude you are going to share your cell with when busted for tax evasion.

On edit: This should be in B&M Cardrooms

Yeah you can write off losses.

[/ QUOTE ]I don't think this is true. You can write-off losses from one year for wins THAT SAME YEAR, but you can't bridge years. At least not in the US.
