He's a goner.
After seeing a flop of 9-5-3, retired NFL superstar Shannon Sharpe pushed to all in. Ed Nowak called and showed Shannon what he feared most, pocket Aces. Sharpe showed A-Q. The turn was a 5 and the river was an 8, giving no help to Shannon Sharpe, who was eliminated from the 2005 WSOP Championship event. |

Might be a reasonable play if he was short stacked, got AQ, raised PF, the AA just called, the flop seemed harmless so he pushed to steal...
Or if AA raised from LP, he called from the BB and pushed on a flop likely to miss his opponent. |

He did make through almost an entire day, which is still farther than a lot of people. |

If someone like Shannon Sharpe won or came close to winning this event, it would make the Moneymaker effect look like a blip.
Too bad Jennifer Tilly won a bracelet and not Juila Roberts... |

[/ QUOTE ] don't get me wrong, i'd love to get on a table with someone like Sharpe, who has zero tournament experience and had only recieved a couple pointers from mark seif but, uh, i highly doubt he's gonna read my post so where's the harm? and yeah, if he was real short and AA trapped him, obviously there was nothing else he could do on that last hand but move in. but we don't have those kind of details, so i'm just working with what i have |
