Re: AKo hand
Without a read, I don't think betting again accomplishes much. He MAY call w/ a worse ace, but probably folds most hands you beat and calls with a pair of 5s.

Re: AKo hand
The J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] brings both the flush and a straight draw in. Checking may induce a bluff, but the other player has to respect the checkraise with the scare card; since he hasn't shown any strength in the hand, checking is the right move.

Re: AKo hand
thanks, I've been trying to work on AK as a problem hand of mine. SSH is helping though.
in that hand the guy ended up callin it down with 52 for a pair of 5s I think he was pissed at me because I had taken a decent pot off him heads up a few hands earlier when I outkicked him. |

Re: AKo hand
If 52o doesn't fold the turn, you're not going get rid of him on the river. He'll pay you off in the long run.
