Default Why am I still growing?

I turned 21 last week.

When I had my last doctor's appointment with my pediatrician 3 years ago, I was exactly 5 foot 9 without shoes on. I've measured it maybe once a year since. I was still around 5'9" as of a year ago, but when I measured it last weekend I found that I was now close to 6 feet(5 feet 11 and 3/4 inches, to be exact). How is this possible? I didn't believe it so I had my friend Dave measure me. He also had me at a little bit under 6 feet. I didn't think that guys kept growing past age 18 or 19. Am I likely going to get any taller than this?

For reference, my mom is 5'6" and my dad is 5'10".

You really have to ask this question?

Growth spurts happen after 18, you know.

One of my dad's college friends was 5'6 after high school and grew to 6'3 after college.

It's no dumber a question than the typical OOT question.

If you read the last sentence what I am really looking for is a final height prediction based on the height of my parents.

You might. You might not.

Consult your local pediatrician.

I'm too old to go to a pediatrician. I don't like going to a doctor unless I'm sick. Adults don't really need checkups.

It's due to all the extra-protein in your diet

I predict 7'5

I am 160 pounds now- I have put on some weight. But you are right that I can still only bench about 125. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't have a big build.

how much you can bench is a really crappy indicator of strength. most people have nowhere near the right technique and use too much weight, they are wasting their time and risking injury.
