I like it. Opp will need to have a decent A or a couple of clubs to continue. He's still got a fair stack after folding, which I think he will do with his Q or 7.

I dont get the reason for this.

The guy doubles the pot, which would be a really weird way to play just about anything. If a guy wants to push that hard at such a small pot, I'd think that it'd be ok to let him have it this one time when you have no pair, no draw, and almost any hand that would call you here would just push back.

Also, the min raise makes about as much sense as his original bet. If you had a good A, then why are you giving a flush draw the right odds, and if you have a flush draw why aren't you pushing more to try and get some fold equity.

Overall, I think the only thing this play has going for it is the confusion factor or some kind of previous read.

Default RESULTS/ MY THINKING

Here is my thinking....

The guy either was bluffing or had a very weak hand that had hit the flop somehow. Why do I think this?

The guy bet 200 into a pot with only 100 chips. Why? Because he either a) has a strong hand he wants to protect b) is trying to entice action by appearing to bluff, or c) he is bluffing. Since I showed no strength preflop besides limping, he has to put me on a weak holding, thus making (a) unlikely. (b) seems equally unlikely, as I have given him no reason to think that I might make such a move.

To, it seemed that he simply wanted the hand to end right there and to steal the pot from a SB limper on a scary board.

RESULTS: (drumroll.....) he folded.

The problem is that it has to work a fairly large & of the time long term. In the $55s vs. random opponents at the beginning of a STT I don't think it will.

Anyone else notice that there is an A on that board? Yeah, that's no good for the hero if he ain't got one. I'd frankly be more confident the villian doesn't have an A if he was the one completing. The bet is just fishy enough by your opponent that your raise is a good attempt to take the pot away but I don't like it unless you have some sorta notes on the dude (then it's likely +gangsta).
