Not, "is he intellectual?", but "is he an intellectual?"

How about a poker theorist?

Not necessarily for the first one. If the second one is any good he probably is.

"Intellectual" has become a loaded term though, I get the sense that these days it implies, "Someone who wants to order you around despite having never done an honest day's work."

This is probably the funniest, but most typical "nothumb" post in quite a while. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

To me, an "intellectual" rarely gets to order you around, because they don't have the aptitude for all the BS that goes into politics (both politics proper and office politics).
