Questions regarding differences at 1/2 from .5-1

I'm getting ready to move my br from Crypto .5-1 over to Party and jump into the 1/2 games, and I was hoping someone could give me some advice if they remember their learning experiences at those levels.

I've been a 6bb/100+ winner (over 25k hands) on Crypto yet I think its due to my relatively loose VPIP (~30%) combined with the average microlimits poor post-flop skill.

What advice do y'all have for someone moving up into the limits where (slightly) more poker is played as opposed to value call/bet/raise?
