Default Installing a sprinkler system

Anyone done it yourself, trying to decide if its a project I want to do, or just stick to moving the damn sprinkler every hour and a half.

It's tough, and can be even harder depending on where you live. Lots of digging.

It is pretty trivial to do if you are just starting out with the landscaping idea (i.e. if there currently isn't a healthy lawn there already). There's some digging involved, but the laying down of pipe and setting up valves etc. isn't too bad.

If you have an existing lawn that you don't want to damage you can rent a special machine for installing the pipe without tearing up the lawn. Obviously this involves some more work as well as money.

Before getting too far into the project you want to check your water pressure. This will determine what type of sprinkler system you have to choose from.

I tried to do my first one in TX. You might check how deep the rock is. That was a major [censored] stumbling block for me.

Just get yourself one of these and you won't have to move the hose so much.

It's a major hassle when you don't know what you are doing. Just pay someone to do it.
