Button push - what do you think?
Standard table. Limping at this stage usually indicates weakness. What do you think?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) converter MP1 (t460) MP2 (t890) MP3 (t1480) CO (t1245) Hero (t895) SB (t800) BB (t655) UTG (t1210) UTG+1 (t2365) Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP2 calls t100, 5 folds, Hero pushes for t895. Re: Button push - what do you think?
Without a read, I fold. 87s is just not a good hand to go all-in with, and the limper will call here somewhat often because they hate being stolen on.

Re: Button push - what do you think?
I think it is a fallacy to think a limper is less likely to call then other players. It is the other way around. And when he does your 87s look horrible against his range.
Besides this, I think limping with monsters is coming back into fashion (which is reasonable since so many players push with such big ranges these days). I see it quite often these days. |
