1st Day of SnG\'s - Hand Question
So Im starting Sit N Gos today (had been playing primarily shorthanded limit). Results good so far, but sample size is obviously tiny.
Question is, who is pushing this one all in? Not really sure how to deal with these situations. Obviously, Ive never played with the guy before. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (7 handed) converter Hero (t840) SB (t566) BB (t834) UTG (t1529) MP1 (t2068) MP2 (t457) CO (t1706) Preflop: Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG raises to t225, 6 folds. Final Pot: t270 |

I figure thats the standard, but pushing seems almost right.

Re: 1st Day of SnG\'s - Hand Question
many times yes, but not at this blind level. 225 to win 45. what a jackass. you are probably ahead, but look for a better spot to take this fish's chips

Re: 1st Day of SnG\'s - Hand Question
No it doesn't. At best you have a coinflip. At worst you are a huge dog.
In the first three levels keeping your stack healthy is your first priority. Only put a lot of chips in the middle when you have a good reason to think you have the best of it. |

Re: 1st Day of SnG\'s - Hand Question
Without a read this early facing a 7x+ utg bet, I'm folding.
UTG has pretty much doubled their money early on this game- I would think if you're paying attention you would have *some* read on him at this point, thereby making this decision easier. |
