QQ late in tourney with raise and reraise in front?
In this situation I thought that the Big stack was possibly trying to bully the table, but I also that that he would make this move with a lot of hands that I would be a favorite in was it a correct gamble to make? or should I have just let it go? If I win this hand than I am in great position to not only money but do pretty well.
If I let it go I am still in top 20 of chips I think with about 30 people left. 18 get paid. blinds 120/240 antes 25 chip-collector1 posts the small blind of 120 hosler182 posts the big blind of 240 You have been dealt [Qc Qh] Three folds: JC_Saves raises to 720 math126 raises to 1,680 chip-collector1: geez my pockets looked good two raises ago PreciousRoy raises to 10,465, and is all in chip-collector1 folds hosler182 folds JC_Saves : lets party JC_Saves calls 4,025, and is all in math126 folds The flop is 5c 4s 6c JC_Saves: nh The turn is Td The river is 2s |

I'd have to see the stacks of those involved.

The 10000 plus raise was AI the first reraiser had about 8 or 9K and was making a move and folded to the AI bets.

Re: QQ late in tourney with raise and reraise in front?
I wouldn't say the initial re-raiser was making a move here at all but simply didnt think his 10-10, JJ, AK hand was particulary good, to a re-raise all-in and a call. Its hard to fold QQ in a tourney like this, but i figure your up against a lower pair about 10 percent, AK 40 percent, and AA, KK or QQ the other 50. Depends on how well the All-in 3rd raiser plays. Im guessing its AK and you lost. but what do i know.

Re: QQ late in tourney with raise and reraise in front?
I pretty much thought along your lines as far as range of hands that the AI reraiser had, but I thought that he had an under pair 25% of the time AK 50% and AA or KK 25%.
It is hard to put someone on AA or KK on any given hand, especially when the chip leader by 2x chips goes AI. His bet smelled of under pair or AK more than AA or KK, I mean why chase out the other two players with your reraise all in? If I had AA or KK in his position I would have called the first reraise hoping to get more out of them later. |
